My journey with SkullX began when I participated in their online art contest, which offered prizes up to 1 Ethereum. Drawn to the project, I submitted my work and was fortunate enough to win first place. This success helped introduce my artwork to the wider SkullX community.

The Ask: Skullx is a multifaceted NFT project on the Ethereum and Ordinals blockchains, blending dark, skull-themed pixel and 3D artwork with a lore-rich universe. Launched in 2021, it encompasses collections like the 666 hand-drawn KinkySkullx, the 2,000 cosmic horror-inspired Aeons, the 10,000 generative Skullx 10k, and the newer Infinite series on Bitcoin.

I was subsequently asked by the team at SkullX to draw my rendition of one of their properties for auction. The piece ultimately sold for $2,300 to a community member during the online auction.

When Skullx planned their migration to the Bitcoin blockchain, they approached me to help refresh their offering. I was commissioned to design additional traits for their established 10k collection, carefully matching the project's distinctive aesthetic while introducing new elements that would excite their community. This strategic expansion helped Skullx maintain momentum during their cross-chain transition and provided fresh appeal to both existing collectors and new audiences.

36 Traits
I was tasked with creating 36 new style-matched traits for the Skullx ecosystem, carefully designing 4 unique attributes for each of the 9 distinct realms. This expansion significantly enriched their NFT generation.
